They describe themselves as "A coffee shop with food from the Middle East" - but the torrent of love and affection for Nandine on social media proves they're more than simply somewhere to grab a coffee and a snack. This South London kitchen is a family-run affair. Pary Baban is the lynchpin of the operation and she's ably served by her husband Pola as well as sons Rang and Raman.
The Kurdish food they dish out has won multiple plaudits - and the mezze is what you're really here for. Choose from meat, veggie or vegan. Combos include dishes like tamarind meatballs, dill rice with apricot, smoked baba ghanoush, muhamara, lentil falafels and more. And don't, whatever you do, leave without having Pary's amazing baklava.
They already have a space in Camberwell and one in Peckham Levels, but today they're opening on Camberwell Church Street.
