What's the most popular restaurant in London? Or indeed the UK? We'd be hard pressed not to give that plaudit to Nando's which has a legion of fans (and yes, we've been known to pop in from time to time too). Those fans will be very pleased to hear about the Nando's summer pop-up coming to Shoreditch in August.
And the biggest reason for the excitement will be the appearance of the Nando's brunch. At the moment, you can only get this in Gatwick or Cobham services - not the most accessible of places. So instead of getting on the motorway or on a plane, you can just head down to Shoreditch over the three weeks of the pop-up. They'll have the Nando’s Breakfast - "flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken sausage, eggs, portobello mushroom, saucy fiery beans, grilled tomato and crispy corn browns" and "Spiced Maple Pancakes" plus more besides.
There will also be more exclusive dishes on offer for a limited time. First up is ‘Hurtin’ Me’ rapper Stefflon Don with her "Don Drip Wrap". That's a beanie wrap, on a bed of green spinach, topped with chargrilled peppers and a grilled pineapple slice, covered in pineapple & coconut chutney with a drizzle their new Mango & Lime PERiniase on top. For a preview of this before Nando's Yard, you'll need to lucky enough to have a backstage pass at Wireless in Finsbury Park this weekend where they'll also be serving up the wrap.
And there's more besides the food, including "DJ lessons and photography showcases to PERi-PERi baking and gaming sessions with leading developers" as well as dance classes and "meditation and breathing workshops". We can only assume the latter is if you've over-estimated your tolerance for the extra-hot spice...
