Already one of London's very few two-Michelin-starred restaurants, Helene Darroze's restaurant at the Connaught is about to get a big new refit. Coming a couple of years after The Connaught's last big change - launching Jean Georges' restaurant - this will see the restaurant close for two months for "full refurbishment and modernisation".
It's coming just as the restaurant celebrates its 10 year anniversary - and just after Darroze launched her new restaurant in Paris, Marsan.
All we know at the moment is that there will be big changes to the dining room, a new chef's table and what might be the biggest addition, a "dedicated Armagnac Room for pre and post dinner drinks and private events".
As for the menu - that will change too with what they're calling "a new menu, rooted in Hélène’s culinary style, with a larger focus on British producers and suppliers."
The last day of service for the current restaurant is 14 July - reopening in September. We'll have more info closer to the reopening.
