Following El Pastor and, more recently Casa Pastor, the Harts Group are getting ready for another Mexican kitchen, this time as part of the new Arcade Food Theatre in Center Point.
As one of six kitchens in the Arcade, one of the main focuses will be around their corn tacos. And included in them will be:
- Al Pastor taco, with 24 hour marinated pork shoulder, caramelised pineapple, guacamole taquero, white onion & coriander
- Baja fish taco with Corona-battered sea bass, shredded cabbage and pico de gallo
- Short rib tacos with Chipotle-muscovado coriander seed spice rub, pickled red onion, and La Maya salsa
- A new vegetarian taco with Fresh peas, charred corn, jalapeño and Mexican oregano.
And on top of that, there will be the new Super Gringas, described as Mexico City market style "wraps without rice". That's a white flour tortilla, filled with carne pastor, pineapple and Oaxaca cheese and grilled. There's also a vegetarian version with peas, corn and Mexican oregano. They'll also have El Pastor’s guacamole with totopos and chicharron.
So, if you're at the top of Oxford Street with a desire for a Mexican snack - this sounds like the place to go.
