What: Maryam's Cafe

In a nutshell: Persian food blogger opens her first restaurant in Chiswick

Summing it all up: Popular Persian food blogger and author Maryam Sinaiee has opened the doors of her first restaurant venture - a cafe on Chiswick High Road.

The low-down

It's been a busy few months for food blogger Maryam Sinaiee. In November she published her first book, Nightingales and Roses - a guide to Persian home cooking. And now she's opened her first cafe.

Maryam's Cafe opened its doors in Chiswick on New Year's Eve and a quick browse of their Instagram feed makes it look worth a visit.

Dishes include Persian spinach and chipea soup with barbari bread, rice with lamb and yello lentils and dried limes stew. On the sweet side there'll be apple, cinnamon and walnut muffins and tea will be served with saffron rock candy stirrers.

"All sorts of Persian delights will be on offer here including my tea blends, herbal infusions, cakes, Persian food & healthy salads," says Maryam. "My cookbook, saffron, spices, barberries and other Persian ingredients will be available to buy too."

And if you're in the mood for a bite and then browsing, you can just wander through to the London Auctions which occupies the adjoining property and pick up an antique rug or two.
