They've been growing in popularity recently and now the bleeding plant burger - aka the Beyond Burger - is getting a place all to itself in Brixton, thanks to Halo Burger. The Beyond Burger is meant to be as close to looking at tasting like a real beef burger as possible - even with beetroot juice to represent, let's say a "rare" beef burger's look.
They'll have a simple menu - The Halo Burger, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Cheeseburger, Hamburger and Pink Salt Fries (with Himalayan Pink Salt).
The main event, the Halo Burger is described as "two 1/8 lb hand-formed patties layered with old school diced white onion, melted 100% plant-based American style cheese, a juicy slice of beef tomato, crisp lettuce and tangy signature house-made sauce". Pictured above, it certainly looks just a teeny bit like a Big Mac. We'll assume that's not a coincidence.
