Chuck Burger, the patty-centric spin-off from the Hotbox team, is taking up a new residency at Big Chill in Kings Cross this November. Located just a stone’s throw from Honest Burger, and not far from MEATLiquor, the area now has some superb burger offerings.
Chuck’s menu will have many of the old favourites including the signature 'Devil Burger', a 28 day dry aged beef patty with grilled jalapeños, American cheese, fried onions, pickles, sriracha mayo and a jalapeño and coriander sour cream, and the 'Seoul Bird', a Buttermilk fried chicken breast, gochujang bbq sauce, chilli and cashew nut slaw, Sriracha sour cream.
There are some pretty intriguing new options too, such as The Kimchi Crab featuring a whole deep fried soft shell crab topped with kimchi slaw, pickled chillies, sriracha mayo and a peanut and sesame sauce. And on the veggie front, there’s the ‘Kingston Cauliflower’, BBQ jerk fried cauliflower steak with a chilli and pineapple slaw, mango and scotch bonnet hot sauce, and vegan sour cream.
Classic American diner sides are present and correct too and we’re especially liking the sounds of the bacon loaded fries, as well as the pickled onion rings.
