André Garrett will be the new executive chef at Corinthia Hotel London taking over The Northall

What: The Northall

In a nutshell: The Corinthia's other restaurant gets a Michelin-starred chef too

Summing it all up: André Garrett moves back to London from Cliveden - taking on everything at Corinthia Hotel London that isn't Tom Kerridge's restaurant and bar.

The low-down

Well, you can't accuse the Corinthia Hotel London of slacking - in the past few months they've opened the barnstorming success that is Kerridge's Bar and Grill and they've got Sager + Wilde to take on the Bassoon Bar there. Now they're following all that up with the appointment of a new chef.

They've just announced today that André Garrett will join as Executive Chef of the hotel in January 2019. He's really the final piece of the puzzle as we've been wondering who would take on the hotel's other big restaurant, the Northall.

Garrett comes to the Corinthia from Cliveden (where we had the great pleasure to try his food a while back). But he's probably best known to Londoners for his tenure at Galvin at Windows. André's job will be to look after banqueting events, room service, afternoon tea, breakfast, Spa and Garden Lounge, and all bar food menus as well as The Northall.

Right now The Northall bills itself as a being all about British seasonal food. That'll move in a new culinary direction with Garrett - we're told the menu will feature a "broad fish and seafood selection influenced by the Mediterranean."
