Sometimes we get a press release here at Hot Dinners where the only correct response is "I can't even...". That's firmly the category into which today's story from Burger & Lobster falls.
They've installed a £3,000 four poster gold bed in their Soho restaurant. And for two weeks Londoners can book a three-course caviar and lobster dinner on the bed, which they eat while reclining in silk pyjamas.
The meal kicks off with Veuve Cliquot and Jersey & Poole rock oysters and king crab legs served on silver platters. That's followed by panko prawns, lobster croquettes, a 1.5lb Nova Scotian lobster and Volzhenka black caviar burgers on a mountain of truffle chips. And then a New York Cheesecake with blueberry compote will be delivered in-bed to finish.
It all sounds utterly bonkers but at £130 per couple and being literally designed for Instagram, we reckon it'll actually be a sellout.
