What: Macellaio RC
In a nutshell: Steak in Bloomsbury
Summing it all up: This is the fifth Macellaio RC to launch in London - which is essentially an Italian steakhouse - with a bit of offal on the side if that takes your fancy.
The low-down
They've already opened five successful steak restaurants around town - with their steaks getting a rave review from Marina O' Loughlin - and now there's a sixth Macellaio RC coming to Bloomsbury's Store Street.
And it sounds like it'll be a pretty big affair too, taking up 1447 sq ft - with a huge courtyard space too (it's taking a spot left by a Byron). Otherwise, it's very early days - with no view of the menu yet - but we can assume that it will be pretty similar to the existing places. So that's an Italian menu - and while there are dishes like carpaccio for starters and pasta for mains - it really is all about the meat.
So you'll have all manner of steak cuts from Fiorentina and Costata to T-Bone as well as a grilled rabbit if that takes your fancy. And there's a whole section dedicated to offal if you're feeling adventurous.
