A bar inspired by NYC's GENUINE Liquorette is coming to London, crunching cans in Fitzrovia

genuine liquorette bar opening in london

What: GENUINE Liquorette

In a nutshell: NYC-inspired bar comes to town

Summing it all up: Fancy making your own cocktails by jamming a miniature into a soft drink can? Then GENUINE Liquorette, inspired by an NYC bar, is just what you've been looking for...

The low-down

A new bar is heading our way, and this time it's been inspired by a New York cocktail bar. GENUINE Liquorette is coming to Fitzrovia (taking over the site of The Black Horse).

In NYC, the original bar actually has two places - one which is all about fast food and the second called Liquorette. That's a California-inspired basement bar where they have something called the "Cha-Chunker", where a metal machine widens the hole of any soft drink so you can stick a spirit miniature in there.

It sounds like something similar to the Cha-Chunker is making its way to Lonon's Liquorette as well as more immersive events. They include masterclasses that "grant you privilege to tend the bar whenever you wish." Personally, we don't think we should be let anywhere near the bar - but it sounds interesting. On top of that, expect a list of cocktails that includes an All-Star line-up of drinks from famed mixologists.

We'll have more news closer to the opening.
