This is not a drill. Repeat, this is not a drill. Put a 'meeting' in your google calendar, ward off any colleagues with an 'I'm far too busy to talk right now' look and get ready to buy your tickets to this year's Auction Against Hunger.
It's one of our favourite events in the London foodie calendar, supporting incredibly important charity work, and this year's line-up looks unmissable. Taking place in the Market Hall, and hosted by YouTube favourite DJ BBQ, at Borough some of London's top chefs, bars and street food traders will come together for a single night, in a bid to create the ‘world’s greatest menu’.
On the line-up (with more to be announced) are:

Tickets, include seven dishes (HOW are you going to choose?!) and five drinks from the line-up like Espresso Martinis by L’Unico Caffe Musetti, Chase GB Gin & Tonics and Beer from Fourpure plus unlimited snacks from Well & Truly, Snaffling Pig, Ape & Candy Kittens.
And the fun doesn't stop there. Champagne Taittinger, supporters of Action Against Hunger for over a decade, will host Taittinger Time: a wheel of fortune style game where guests can win a glass, bottle or Magnum on the spot. You'll also be able to bid on a host of food and drink experiences in the silent and live auction hosted by Tom Best, Christie’s youngest ever auctioneer. We've had a sneak preview of the lots and - trust us - you'll want to be in the running for them.
Plus, there'll be a return of the Hot Dinners online auction in the run-up to the event. We'll have details of that in due course.
