Summing it all up: Tooting Broadway Market's cool new tap room has something for everyone with everything from cocktails, wine and ciders to beer on tap. Oh and it's zero waste too.
The low-down
Tooting continues to see some really interesting new openings - and while Tap13 is tiny it makes up for its lack of space with a big vision.
From the man behind The Tapas Room, Paul Belcher, it's a teeny tap room with a difference. There are no bottles, no mixers no disposables - it's all about going from tap to glass to mouth. And, for once, beer drinkers don't have all the fun. Here only four of the (you guessed it) 13 taps are actually beer. The rest are a range of cocktails, wines and cider.
Cocktails right now are espresso martini, blood orange cosmo and a rhubarb and rose spritz. There's also a white, red, rose and sparkling wine on tap along with two ciders. And with a glass of wine starting at just a fiver, who wouldn't want to go and try them out?
There are just 12 seats inside Tap13, but you can also enjoy your drinks in the market's communal seating area, or take their drinks to have in other nearby restaurants within the market.
Right now, there's no food to go alonside the drinks list, but from next week they will be serving bar snacks like smoked nuts, beer sticks and biltong. And if you fancy what you try, you can buy a reusable “Growler” to fill up and drink at home.
