What: Crepes & Cones
In a nutshell: UK rappers open a restaurant in Croydon
Summing it all up: South London duo are teaming up with J2K to open their own restaurant serving everything from fried chicken to waffles and, of course, crepes.
The low-down
South London rappers Krept and Konan have joined up with grime star J2K to open a restaurant in Croydon. The joint venture, Crepes & Cones, which opens this month, covers all the bases according to a post on Krept's Instagram page.
"We do crepes, waffles, grilled food, chicken, burgers, ribs, hot dogs to name a few. Yes it's halal. And we even have vegan options and ice cream. We do cocktails, mocktails, slushes, milkshakes, everything."
The 120 seat restaurant will also have its own private dining room and, as Krept says, "It's disabled friendly, child friendly also."
"Nothing I love more than brothers with ambition and vision," was J2K's take on it, "when they told me the idea it was a no brainer and now we’re here!"
Sounds like the project wasn't the easiest one though as Krept expands; "Honestly put my blood sweat and tears into this...So much up and downs making this i even became a builder at one stage lol. but we are finally here."
