Having popped up successfully in Dalston last year, mezcal lovers Sin Gusano are expanding capacity and duration-wise with their next opening - an eight month residency in Hagggerston. They'll be taking over Curio Cabal as a ‘social club’ putting on events, offering private mezcal tasting experiences,and running their popular bar and taqueria.
And their timing is spot on, their first week of opening coincides with the Cinco de Mayo festivities so you can expect a big party on the night itself. After that you'll find Oaxacan-style tacos and salsas on offer.
And you'll be needing those tacos if you're planning on trying either their signature menu of introductory tasting flights of mezcal - starting from around £13 or the rotating list of local beers, wines and cocktails.
If you're really into your mezcal why not book a tailored tasting? You'll get to visit Sin Gusano’s underground mezcal resting room and sample some extremely rare distillates that won’t be for sale over the bar.
Taking over popular Haggerston café/bar space Curio Cabal, from 5pm Wednesday – Saturday, Sin Gusano will open the doors to its new home on May 3rd.
