What: G'rilla
In a nutshell: Grilled cheese sarnies to go
Summing it all up: Nova Victoria is getting a new grilled cheese sarnie kiosk where the fillings include lobster and Korean BBQ pork
The low-down
If there was an optimum time to open a place specialising in grilled cheese sarnies, then cold and drizzly February would surely be it. So you've got to hand it to the folk behind a new kiosk opening at Nova Victoria this week - they've timed it perfectly.
G'rilla will serve up what they're terming a 'gourmet' take on the humble grilled cheese toastie. Now, while that word, gourmet, is currently being debated on social as either a good or bad thing, when you look at it, the food actually does sound worth a punt. Their base cheese will be a blend of extra mature cheddar, scarmoza and a soft and creamy raclette and the bread will be a San Francisco sourdough. To that you can add mac & cheese, saddleback pulled pork with Korean BBQ sauce or maybe lobster and sweetcorn.
We might have to go down just to find out how they're planning on fitting fried chicken, stuffing, chicken gravy and fried potatoes between two slices of bread. They'll also be putting on weekly specials and serving up OZONE coffee alongisde. Prices will range from £5 to £7.
