What: Broadleaf
In a nutshell: Those who work in the Square Mile will most likely be familiar with the ETM Group's style by now - ritzy, brasserie-style dining with a something-for-everyone menu and well dressed wait staff. Now they're making the move to Broadgate with the greenhouse-inspired Broadleaf, bringing a big open plan kitchen, a bar laden with cocktails and shuffleboard.
The low-down
The Botanist lot are at it again, with a huge new restaurant and bar, this time in Broadgate, called Broadleaf.
Themed loosely around Victorian glasshouses (aka loads of windows and botanical-themed everything), the new bar and restaurant will have space for 200, feature a large standalone bar and be open from breakfast through to dinner, with bottomless brunches on the weekends.
Food sounds not dissimilar to its sister restaurants, and features lots of trusted brasserie classics like steak with peppercorn sauce, burgers, Asian salads and kiln-roasted salmon with pickled beetroot.
There’ll be six hefty copper beer tanks in the back, plus botanical-themed cocktails, wines and “artisanal spirits”. And once you’re nice and merry, you can head upstairs where Broadleaf continue their Victorian glasshouse theme by offering a game of shuffleboard.
