Chelsea’s The Botanist gets a refurb alongside a new chef

botanistrevised

Sloane Square's The Botanist has just reopened after 10 weeks of refurbishment.

The upmarket all-day bar and eatery will have more Champagne and botanical cocktails - always good news - plus a new all-day brasserie menu from the new executive chef, Ameya Bhalekar (The Savoy, Caprice Holdings’ 34 Mayfair, Soho House’s Road House).

New dishes will include lighter ones like sea bass ceviche with citrus, pickled onion, jalapeño and sweet potato alongside a wide selection of grilled meats and classics. At breakfast they're upping their game with avocado on charcoal bread and if you're just after some snackage at that beautiful bar how about buttermilk chicken with ranch dressing or just some mixed sashimi or steak tartare?

Aside from that, there’s a 45-seater bar and interior design - and it does look rather swanky. This original Botanist is seen as the flagship restaurant in The ETM collection (you may be familiar with its City counterpart), and opened 10 years ago in the northwest corner of the rather well-to-do Sloane Square.

Where: 7 Sloane Square, London SW1W 8EE

When: Now open
