NUNdos is a nun-run pop up coming to Shoreditch

Every once in a while a press release comes in that is a total gift. Today it's the news that NUNdos is coming to Shoreditch. As you might have hoped/guessed from the name, it's a pop-up restaurant staffed by nuns.

The three-day event is all tied up with the launch of a new Channel 5 series Bad Habits: Holy Orders. While that might sound like the title of the next Whoopi Goldberg movie, it's actually a show following five young women swapping modern life for four weeks working at a convent in East Anglia.

The nuns in question are the Daughters of Divine Charity (two of their members are pictured above) and they'll be serving up chicken broth and lentil soup for free whilst offering punters the chance to chew the fat with the sisters. And while it might be happening in East London, the whole thing is decidedly Instagram-unfriendly. The nuns want you to drop your phones off when you go in so you can take time to take stock.
