Summing it all up: Bill Granger brings his all day Aussie cafe to the Pavilion Road development in Chelsea
The low-down
Good news for fans of Bill Granger. The Aussie restaurateur has just revealed plans to open his fourth restaurant in London. His next place will be in Chelsea at the new Pavilion Road development.
Seems the decision to open in Chelsea has been a long time in the offing. "I’ve always wanted to open a restaurant in Chelsea," says Bill, who adds he's "been looking for a site for the last ten years."
For the food, you can expect all the usual Granger and Co faves in the all-day menu, including their Ricotta Hotcakes, the "Fresh Aussie" - that's jasmine tea hot smoked salmon, poached eggs, greens, avocado and cherry tomatoes and also the yellow fish curry, spiced butternut squash & cucumber relish.
There will be dishes exclusive to the Chelsea spot, including:
- Crab & Kohlrabi salad, tarragon and lemon zest
- Lovage borani, roast summer beans & walnuts,
- A dairy-free chocolate pot with fresh turmeric crumb
As for the place itself, it'll seat 100 over two floors including a "hidden outdoor courtyard" and a small terrace on the first floor. And unique to the Chelsea location is a private dining room - a first for the Granger and Cos.
And expect it to be a hugely popular brunch space.
