Smoke + Salt heads south to Pop Brixton

Smoke + Salt heads south to Pop Brixton

7/6/17 - Updated with soft launch details

Smoke & Salt will be bringing their fine-yet-casual dining to South Londoners when it takes up residence in Pop Brixton this summer.

It was with a heavy heart that we announced the closure of Kricket’s Pop Brixton site. But as the saying goes, when one door closes another opens and we’re rather pleased that the venue's new resident is Salt + Smoke.

We’ve already had a chance to sample their wares at their very successful year-long Islington residency. However, for the uninitiated, Salt + Smoke comes from Remi Williams and Aaron Webster, two chefs who seriously know their stuff having met at Notting Hill’s The Shed. Food is modern, seasonal and casual, uses plenty of preservational knowhow, like brining, curing, fermenting and more.

If you’re wondering what to expect, last spring’s tasting menu had dishes like grilled lamb with green garlic, alliums with cipollini and pink grapefruit curd with elderflower yoghurt, so it goes without saying that we’re definitely looking forward to seeing what they can bring to Pop...
