What: Trafalgar St. James
In a nutshell: A rooftop bar for skyline views and a restaurant with British cuisine
Summing it all up: Overlooking the famous London landmark, the Trafalgar St. James is well placed to offer a luxurious rooftop drink or two at its The Rooftop bar, with British food available in its restaurant.
The low-down
We’ve only *just* managed to get on top of all the new hotel restaurants opening (Ned, Curtain, Nobu, Henrietta....) but now there’s soon to be yet another on the block. The Trafalgar St. James is undergoing a massive refurbishment which will result in them launching a ritzy rooftop bar, a new all-day restaurant and some seriously sought-after views overlooking the capital’s landmark.
First up, the bar. Of course, there was always a rather nice rooftop spot here anyway, but The Rooftop, as it’ll be known, will have the works - a Mediterranean-style lounge and dining area, a private glasshouse, a menu full of small plates, and of course, cocktails suited for the epic, picture perfect view.
Meanwhile, downstairs in the restaurant there’ll be seasonal British-inspired food with a twist, and we’ve been told an “exciting afternoon tea concept” will also be revealed in due course.
We’ll update this with more information as it comes in.
