So this is sad news. The super popular Kricket is closing its original spot in POP Brixton. Seems they're decided to focus their efforts on finding a second permanent site - either in Brixton or beyond.
“We couldn't have asked for a better place to open our first restaurant," said co-owners Rik Campbell & Will Bowlby, "and whilst we will be focusing our attention on our restaurant in Soho for the time being, we hope to return to Brixton one day soon."
"This is what Pop Brixton is all about," said the Brixton team, "helping talented and ambitious people get their big ideas off the ground. When Rik and Will joined us two years ago, they were first time entrepreneurs who had never run a restaurant, and just look at them now!"
On the bright side, Kricket are planning a Last Supper for their final day of trading at POP. The celebration menu on Saturday 27 May 2017 will feature all their greatest hits, including the Keralan Fried Chicken, Bhel Puri, Crab Meen Moiliee and Hake with Malai sauce.
