If there's one thing you can be sure about, a food event featuring chef Ben Spalding won't be boring. Now the chef and his PuzzleProjects team are popping up in Shoreditch for the summer.
Small Plate Sessions @ The Last Days of Shoreditch is described as ‘high-energy, punk tapas". There'll be two distinct areas to the popup - a 50-seat mezzanine restaurant where Ben is promising dishes like Gressingham Duck Breast cooked in a Chocolate Salt Crust and - drumroll - he's bringing back his ‘Chicken on a Brick’ and chicken skin sandwich (pictured).
There's also going to be a no-reservation terrace and bar. The menu for that will focus on dishes cooked in a charcoal oven so expect Barbecue Crack Rib for two, Cornish Monkfish roasted on the bone. We have to admit, we do want to know what Silky Charcoal Holy F*ck Fudge drenched in Rum and set on fire tastes like.
