Now this sounds just lovely - particularly as the weekend get a little brisk.
From next weekend, Hoxton's Petit Pois is starting their own take on a Sunday lunch. At the heart of the menu will be the slow cooked beef bourguignon for sharing. The beef, from Nathan Mills at The Butchery in Bermondsey, is slow cooked in red wine for four hours with mushrooms, shallots and thyme, before being covered in buttery puff pastry. And it comes with sides that include spinach wilted in butter and reduced nutmeg cream, duck fat roasted potatoes, pan roasted heritage carrots, and broccoli served in butter with chilli, shallots and garlic.
And also included is their chocolate mousse that's been going down a treat and we really loved on a recent visit.
It all comes to £25 with everything included and will be on every Sunday from 27 November from noon to 9pm for tables of two to eight people. You need to book it one day in advance at 0207 613 3689.
Petit Pois is at 9 Hoxton Square, London N1 6NU. Read more about Petit Pois.
