Fox Bar is bringing espresso martinis on tap to Brixton

Inspired by the knees-up watering holes of Chicago and New Orleans, FOX BAR is a new underground drinking den hitting Brixton. It follows the original Fox Bar, also by Soho House, which launched in Chicago.

Dark spirits are the name of the game here, so there’ll be plenty of bourbon, whiskeys and rums on the drinks menu. Their signature cocktail, the ‘Banana Penicillin’ with ginger, honey and lemon and peat sounds vaguely Lemsip-esque, but is guaranteed to be a whole lot nicer thanks to the presence of banana-infused Bacardi.

Coffee addicts everywhere also will need to be careful: at long last, thanks to FOX BAR’s ‘Nitro Martini’, espresso martinis will finally be available on tap (yes, you read that right).

If you’re feeling a bit jittery after all that, or simply in need of something to line your stomach, then it’s greasy goodness from Dirty Burger and Chicken Shop to the rescue, who’re open right next door and will be providing bar snacks, Those will include chicken nuggets, chicken wings and crinkle cut fries.

FOX BAR opens on 28 October at Piano House, 9 Brighton Terrace, Brixton, SW9 8DJ. It’ll be open Monday to Thursday 5pm-12am, Friday 5pm-1am, Saturday 12pm-1am and Sunday 5pm - 10.30pm. Follow FOX BAR on Instagram @foxbarbrixton.
