The Dorsett Hotel’s newest branch will be the home to two East End arrivals in early 2017.
First up, there’ll be Shikumen, an Asian restaurant providing dim sum and Chinese tea, which first cut its teeth back in 2014 in Dorsett’s Shepherd's Bush. It’s been well reviewed by the Evening Standard, who’ve praised the dim sum as “texturally a delight that keeps on giving.”
If you’re more of an around-the-clock eater, there’ll also be 24-hour dining and cocktails courtesy of VQ (aka ‘Vingt-Quatre’). Following a successful run of openings in Bloomsbury, Notting Hill and Chelsea, VQ will now be serving up its high quality, classic comfort food - think pastas, burgers, salads and all-day breakfasts - from its new base in Aldgate. Ideal for jetlagged souls, especially their 24-hour buttermilk pancakes.
Shikumen and VQ open at Dorsett City, next to Aldgate East tube early next year. Follow Shikumen @ShikumenUK and VQ @vqrestaurants on Twitter.
