Hawaiian poke for Kingly street with Island Poke

Hawaiian poke for Kingly street with Island Poke

Hawaiian poke continues to be a BIG THING in London with news that another poke stop is coming to London. It's Island Poke, coming from the people behind the Hawaiian Fish Company - so they've considerable experience already.

Setting up shop on Kingly Street, it'll be a takeaway place starting with Hawaiian Kona Coffee and Acai breakfast bowls. Those will be blended Acai berries with coconut milk, banana and pineapple juice, topped with banana, seasonal fruit, freshly made coconut shavings, granola and honey.

Then there's the "build your own bowl" poke for lunch. You'll be able to choose from white rice, brown rice, crispy kale or baby greens - adding classic ahi tuna, spicy ahi tuna, citrus marinated salmon, beetroot or the Chefs Special. After that, six different sauces including wasabi coconut cream or Hawaiian shoyu. And on top of that two extra toppings like sesame seeds, wakame seaweed, sliced fresh chillies or house pineapple salsa. So that should see you through lunch.

It's also of interest as it comes via the investment of Chris Miller, previously of Soho House. He's set up the White Rabbit fund to invest in new restaurants, so we may be seeing more new ventures from them.

Island Poke opens 27 October at 8 Kingly Street, London, W1B 5PQ. There will be a soft launch with 50% off food from 27-28 October. For more, follow them on Instagram @islandpokeuk.
