If you like a bit of decent whisky with your curry, then a new popup launching in Battersea next month is for you. Tiger Dram will take over the back room at Cornish Tiger's restaurant on Battersea Rise, serving up curry dishes alongside artisan whiskies.
There's just one thing - you'll have to find your way first. There's apparently going to be a secret entrance and even if you find it you won't be admitted unless you rub the Buddha’s belly.
On the menu at the 25 seat pop-up will be small plates of deconstructed curry made with everything from goat to venison - think Indian tapas. For the mains there will be five curry options - vegetable, lamb, chicken, fish and keema. Every month the naan will change - so you might find stilton and truffle naan on the menu when you go.
For drinks there'll be a range of matched whiskies (as well as craft beer if whisky isn't your tipple of choice). And, if you're feeling lucky every evening diners that find themselves seated next to a lucky little Buddha will be given the chance to roll the dice. If they throw two sixes they'll get their food bill covered.
Tiger Dram will run from September until the end of the year at 1 Battersea Rise, London SW11 1HG. Opening hours will be Tuesday to Saturday, from 6pm to 11pm, and it's walk-ins only.
