Another day, another London restaurant with a crazy, headline-seeking story. Hot on the heels of World Emoji Day - Notting Hill restaurant The Little Yellow Door has launched what they say is the world's first emoji-only menu.
The summer special, illustrated by the cartoon-style graphics, is on offer every Wednesday and Thursday throughout July and August, at £15 for two courses.
We won't attempt to translate the dishes into emojis here, but you can choose between things like seared steak roll with truffle mayo, caramelised onions and rocket, buffalo wings with crudites and blue cheese dip, and a special recipe house punch. The team confess they've had to get a little creative with their descriptions, but you get the gist.
In keeping with the whole social media theme, you can order your food and drinks in emoji-speak via WhatsApp - or if you're struggling to decode it - the old fashioned way, by actually asking a waiter.
The Little Yellow Door's current resident chef Hank will also be laying on a weekly Friday night supperclub, pitting favourites from British summer barbecues versus American style dishes. Stars and stripes fans can go for USA bourbon glazed ribs and pulled beef shin, or fly the Union Jack with British smoked cumberland sausages or BBQ chicken with oregano and rosemary. Just save room for the Oreo, banana and bourbon hard shake before you stagger home.
Little Yellow Door is at 68 Notting Hill Gate - contact them on WhatsApp 0780 126 7854 to book. Keep up with their news on Twitter @TLYD68
