No, your eyes are not deceiving you - Bird have finally decided to combine the two things they do best, doughnuts and fried chicken. This is the Fried Chicken Doughnut. That's fried chicken (in a newly tweaked recipe) between a sugary glazed doughnut, covered in melted cheese. And with rashers of streaky bacon, too, just in case there weren't enough calories.
We have to admit - we'd happily give this a try and if you're thinking the same you can get it from any of the Birds (Camden, Shoreditch, Islington) from Monday 27 June.
