Originally best known for their Stoke Newington original, supplied with seafood from their own fishmongers, Sutton and Sons have since expanded to Islington. And now they have a third restaurant on the way - a new chippy for Hackney.
On the menu, expect grilled catch of the day, tuna burger, lobster sub, grilled oysters, whole lobster with chips or salad and half a dozen snails. And after all that, Mrs Sutton’s home-made pickles and desserts.
And in a slightly bizarre opening twist, if you bring your favourite chocolate bar, they'll batter it for free on their opening day, 3 June (which also just happens to be National Fish & Chip Shop Day). Frankly we're tempted to take along a Drifter or a Lion bar to try this one out ourselves. And if you can't make that, then head along to any of the restaurants from 6-16 June as they'll have more B.Y.O.B (Bring Your Own Bar) batter events too.
