The Ivy is about to star serving breakfast for the first time in 100 years

It's been such a London institution that it comes as something as a surprise that the Ivy has never served breakfast in the almost 100 years that it's been around. But that's about to change very soon as they get ready to throw the doors open in the morning.

There will - of course - be a Full English (£16.50) and a vegetarian version of that too. And there's a lot more on the menu including:

  • Super seed bowls - raw super-food-packed bowls of chia, flax and oats
  • Lots of eggs - boiled, baked, scrambled or poached, plus Eggs Royale and more
  • Home-made breads - with nut butters, crunchy gianduja spread or traditional jams

Plus you can expect shakshuka (pictured above) waffles, pancakes, French toast and more.

They've been working with Street&Co for their coffee and a bespoke Peruvian espresso and teas will be from The East India tea Company. And there will be lots of juices, including a "Market Greens Juice of the Day" (£5.00) and a Morning Tonic, which is made up of lemon, cayenne, turmeric, agave, cider vinegar and sparkling water (£4.00).

It all starts at 8am on 10 May 2016 at The Ivy West Street, 1-5 West Street, London WC2H 9NQ. Find out more about the Ivy
