This sounds to us like a first for London - an espresso canteen with brow bar and waxing salon attached.
A Wanted Man opened quietly in Chelsea a few weeks ago, and while the idea of a cafe come hair removal space might not be everyone's cup of java, the details warrant some foodie interest.
First off, the brows and other bits will be seen to upstairs at The Beauty Block Chelsea. It's downstairs you'll want to focus on. There a team of two Michel Bras-trained chefs, Benjamin Darnaud (previously at Viande & Chef in Paris) and Vincent Dery who'll be serving up an all day menu of dishes and artisan coffee.
Expect dishes like roasted seasonal vegetables with sauerkraut and satay sauce, or the sourdough waffle with salted peanut cream, blueberry jam & roasted pecans. As for the coffee that'll be flown in from Common Man Coffee Roasters, the Singapore-based specialty coffee roasters borne out of Five Senses Coffee of Melbourne.
A Wanted Man espresso canteen is now open at 330 King’s Road, London SW3 5UR. Telephone 020 7351 5121. Opening hours: 8am – 7pm daily. Keep up with their news on Twitter @AWantedManLDN
