There's a fancy new restaurant on the way to Paddington (not something we get to write often) and its chef, Andrea Secchi has plenty of Michelin experience, having worked with Marcus Wareing at the Berkeley. It gets its name from the Robata grill which will be doing much of the work in the kitchen - and food includes:
- Lots of bowls, including Crispy sea bass fillet with carrot and honey purée and wild sea bass with purple potato and a prawn bisque
- 48-day aged sirloin, Tandoori cod loin, organic lamb chops, corn-fed chicken from Scotland and grilled prawns all on the grill
- The Ultimate Beef Burger - a 21 day aged Aberdeen Angus mince, mustard, smoked paprika and home-made ketchup patty
- Fish and chips, chicken curry and seafood pie
- Wild mushroom bruschetta with poached eggs
ROBA Bar and Restaurant opens at 34 Norfolk Place, London W2 1QW on 11 April. For more, follow them on Twitter @RobaRestaurant
