Fancy some mozzarella near St Paul's? Then the flagship Obica should do the job. It's the latest of five London restaurants and pulls together a 120 seat restaurant, mozzarella bar, deli, private dining room and terrace too.
Their big draw, of course, is the Mozzarella di Bufala DOP, imported twice a week for their Mozzarella Bar - coming with with black truffle, Italian Calvisius caviar, or just with extra virgin olive oil. A pizza oven will put more of that mozzerella to use too as well as featuring the Burrata and N’Duja pizza.
They'll also have small plates and a selection of salumi including 24-month air aged San Daniele and Parma Prosciutto, smoked Speck from Alto Adige. And bigger dishes include
- Tartare di Tonno - Knife-cut Ahi Tuna, prepared with Taggiasche Olives, Pantelleria Capers, Heirloom Tomatoes, Lime, Chives & Avocado Purée; Branzino
- Sea Bass with Solfino White Beans, Seasonal Vegetables, & Roasted Datterini Tomatoes
- Ravioli Freschi - Ricotta di Bufala & Black Kale Homemade Ravioli in Sage Butter Sauce, Parmigiano Reggiano
Alongside this, wine beer and cocktails - and coffee and pastries from the deli during the day too.
Obica opens at 4 Limeburners lane, 1 Ludgate Hill, London EC4M 7AA. For more, follow them on Twitter @obicauk
