As you may be aware, we have a lot of love for Chick n Sours, giving it our Best Dish of 2015 - that Szechuan Aubergine dish is AMAZING and everyone should try it.
And now there's something new hitting the menu - Whole Fry Sundays - where the Sunday chicken roast gets a little Chick n Sours twist. Yes it IS what you expect - a whole fried chicken coated in their special coating, either covered with gochujang and kewpie or coming "naked", and that's served with a choice of two sides for £25. And they'll still have their ridiculously large Brunch Bun on the menu too (Fried Boneless Thigh, Avocado, Hot sauce, Bacon, Fried egg and ‘Slaw for £12).
We were invited round for a test run this Sunday. So if we're sounding a little gushing in this piece, it's because it really is as great as it sounds - and coupled with that aubergine dish (which is still as wonderful as ever) it makes for a near unbeatable Sunday lunch. Plus they've some new sours on the menu - we tried the Bitter Kentucky (Bourbon, Cynar, and Passionfruit) and the June Bug - their sour version of a Piña Colada. Both great - but those were enough to see us through the day.
So if you haven't already been, there's another reason for you to rush down there - and if you have, another reason to rush back...
