Pimlico is getting a new bar - and the bar snacks don't sound half bad. The Clarendon Cocktail Cellar is a new drinking hole underneath the Artist Residence hotel (the name refers to the pub that used to occupy the site).
Expect all manner of art-inspired cocktails denoted by the artwork on the drinks coaster they're served with. So with Georges Seurat’s ‘A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte’ the drink will be gin, lemon, Oleo Saccharum, tea, sparkling wine & tapioca pearl and Andy Warhol’s ‘Campbell’s Soup Cans’ gives you a choice of bacon bourbon or olive oil vodka with pepper, Worcester sauce, lemon, tomato juice, celery salt and a peppercorn & horseradish tincture.
The all-important bar snacks include Cajun chickpeas, wild boar and quail Scotch eggs and pork belly and crab sliders. There'll also be complimentary fresh popcorn - choose from toffee-apple and cinnamon, sea salt or bacon dust.
Clarendon Cocktail Cellar is now open at Artist Residence, 52 Cambridge Street London SW1V 4QQ. Access it from the hotel's Cambridge St Cafe. Opening Hours are Monday – Thursday: 5pm – 11pm Friday: 5pm – midnight Saturday: 5pm – midnight Sunday: 5pm – 10pm
