It's all change on Wardour Street with the announcement that a new restaurant is taking over the site once occupied by the Marquee Club.
100 Wardour Street will be the third restaurant to open on this site by D&D. First it was Meza, then Carom and Floridita. The new restaurant will be known simply as 100 Wardour Street. It'll take over the entire (enormous) space with room for more than 400 diners with the restaurant redesigned by Russell Sage (Savoy Grill, City Social). The ground floor will be an all-day restaurant, lounge and cocktail bar while a further restaurant space downstairs will open in the evenings and feature live music performances and guest DJs.
As for food, we're told the menu will be Modern European and Mediterranean cuisine with a twist. So that means:
- Crispy Pork Belly, Salsa Verde & grilled Endive.
- Whole Shoulder of Suckling Pig with Grilled Endive & Orange
- Black Cod Provençale.
- Grilled Queen Scallops, Chorizo breadcrumbs
- Broccoli & Artichoke Salad with Maple Dressing.
In charge of that will be Executive Chef Liam Smith-Laing, previously Head Chef at La Petite Maison in Istanbul.
The restaurant will open at 100 Wardour Street, London W1F 0TN on 28 January 2016. Telephone 020 7314 4000. Keep up with their news on Twitter @100WardourSt
