If you're into pizza, and we mean REALLY into pizza, then the pop-up hitting Harrods this month is going to have you drooling over your deep pan. Two Italian chefs pushing the boundaries of pizzas back in Italy are taking over The Pizzeria in store for five days. Pizza Gourmet will feature six pizzas by Veronese chef Simone Padoan and Neaopolitan chef Franco Pepe as part of a special promotion by Identità Golose.
Pepe, whose restaurant Pepe in Grani is just outside Naples, has a menu combining Neapolitan tradition and innovative cooking technology. One of the pizzas he'll be serving up is the Mistaken Margherita, which involves the tomato being cold reduced before being added to the pizza at the end of the cooking process.
Padoan's restaurant I Tigli di San Bonifacio in Verona is known for its modern take on pizza. He'll be serving up the ‘From Land to Sea’ pizza with Mazara del Vallo fresh red shrimps and Mediterranean vegetables.
Pizza Gourmet runs in the Pizzeria and Canti Prosecco Bar on the second floor of Harrods 87-135 Brompton Rd, London SW1X 7XL from Tuesday 27 until Saturday 31 October 2015 at Harrods. Opening hours are Monday - Friday 12:00pm to 9:00pm; Saturday 11.30am to 9:00pm and Sunday 11.30am to 6.00pm. Keep up with their news on Twitter @harrods
