A short while ago, we reported on a new pop-up appearing at Leicester Square station called Pilau (following an earlier stint at Old Street). It proved very popular indeed, so much so that they've now settled down in Soho for a long-term residency. They've taken up a spot just beside the Berwick Street Market and plan to be there all summer.
As before, they'll be serving up their "Indian Street Wraps" . They come in two sizes - Regular & 'The Big One' and with three fillings - Butter Chicken, Lamb and Marrow and Spiced Paneer. Plus there are extra toppings, including Indian slaw, shoestring bahji, pickled ginger and fresh chilli and the wraps are finished off with a choice of three homemade sauces - mango & apricot chutney, mint & coriander yoghurt and a spicy chilli sauce. Those wraps are flat lavas naan and there is a free Fox's mint for afters - as they say "like a proper Indian takeaway". They also sell bags of homemade banana chips for £1.
