If your eating out budget doesn't extend to travelling the world to work your way through the World's 50 Best Restaurants list, then take heart because the chef from the restaurant currently at No 3 is bringing his work to London for three days.
Massimo Bottura is going to be bringing his three Michelin-starred Osteria Francescana from the Italian medieval city of Modena to Sotheby’s in London for a three day pop-up in June. The idea he says "is to open up a dialogue between contemporary art and cuisine". To that end he'll draw inspiration for his London menu from the art on the walls in the auction house, as well as the artists he collects and counts among his friends.
Osteria Francescana will take over the Sotheby’s Cafe from 27-29 June 2015 serving up a seven course menu for £250 a head. Wine pairing is also available. To book call 0207 293 5077. To book go to www.sothebys.com/of or email ofpopup@sothebys.com
