Farm Girl Cafe brings Australian healthy eating to Notting Hill

Farm Girl Cafe brings Australian healthy eating to Notting Hill

We've definitely seen a trend for healthy eating so far in 2015 and that looks to continue with this new opening. A new Cafe is coming to Notting Hill from Rose Mann and Anthony Hood. Farm Girl is "inspired by a childhood growing up on a rural farm outside Melbourne" so it's bringing that Australian influence - with a healthy focus - to the Portobello Road.

The menu is from Benoit Marmoiton, who's best known for being a private chef to the stars and who has also worked with Joel Antunes in a number of his restaurants. The menu has a nutritional aim and Doctor Melly Lou, founder of Liquorice Lifestyle has been advising too. So  there will be:

  • Farm Girl Porridge - jumbo oats, chia seeds, Himalayan salt, coconut oil, served with a choice of yoghurt, berries or avocado
  • Roast Beetroot Salad - feta, purple sprouting broccoli, feta, coriander, hemp seeds and pumpkin seeds.
  • A BLT with a vegan twist, made from coconut bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato and cashew chilli guacamole.

And their signature drink will be Coconut Drip. That's cold brew coffee, prepared with toasted coconut, served with ice and homemade coconut milk or almond milk on the side. Alongside that are cold pressed juices, superfood smoothies and more.

It'll seat around 45 on two floors. It's being designed by Beata Heuman with graffiti by Pang London too. And the ground floor will have a big table for communal dining.

Farm Girl Cafe will be at 59a Portobello Road, London W11 3DB from early June.  For more, follow them on Twitter @farmgirlcafe
