Madrid's top chefs are heading to London for a week

The Community of Madrid has more than 53,500 restaurants - so they should know a thing or two about good food. And for a week in June, some of the city's finest chefs are heading to London for the chef equivalent of an exchange trip.

The group of six is headed up by three Michelin-starred chef David Muñoz who's about to open his first restaurant in London this summer. Each of the six, with the exception of David Muñoz, will cook one or two services at a London host restaurant, collaborating with the chef on a unique menu.

Tuesday 9th June

Benares + Punto MX
Roberto Ruiz heads up Punto MX, the first Mexican restaurant awarded a Michelin star in Europe

Wednesday 10th June

  • Restaurant Story (lunch + dinner) + dStage. Diego Guerrero's dStage got a Michelin star just six months after opening. He was previously at the two Michelin-starred El Club Allard
  • Texture + Monita. Daniel Ochoa and Luis Moreno's newly Michelin-starred restaurant Monita combines classic and contemporary cuisine) Benares + Punto MX (as above)

Thursday 11th June & Friday 12th June

  • Wormwood + DOMO in NH Collection Eurobuilding. DOMO Head Chef Luis Bartolomé has worked with renowned chefs such as Martín Berasategui and at restaurants including El Cenador de Salvador and Maher

Monday 15th June

  • Kitchen Table + Álbora. David Garcia's restaurant Álbora, gained a Michelin star last year and is widely regarded as one of Madrid’s top tapas restaurants
