If you're in North London (like us) and really fancy a burger, but just don't fancy heading outside "in this weather" then new burger take-away and delivery service Homeburger could be just what you need.
It's in the final stages of opening on the Holloway Road, so we caught up with Homeburger's Dave Corbineau to find out more.
What can you tell us about Homeburger?
Homeburger is a high quality burger delivery concept. Although there is a massive amount of demand for burgers in the UK, there are very few places where you can get a great quality burger delivered to your door. To provide a solution, we've spent over a year putting together the perfect packaging and cooking processes to make sure our gourmet burgers (and fries!) arrive perfectly to the door of all our customers.
Are you just delivery?
It's just takeaway and delivery - this is our major focus, although we do have three semi-comfortable chairs in store if you really want to eat in! No tables though.
And where are you delivering to?
We'll start by delivering only to a few invited local people just to perfect the food and service. After this, we will have a small delivery area that will include Holloway, Highbury, Islington, Archway, Kentish Town and a few other places.
And the food and drink?
The manu is still in an early stage as there is still a lot of testing to do but we've got a great selection of burgers with a few other surprises. Our chilli cheese waffle fries and sweet pie selection is particularly exciting. We will be doing drinks, starting with shakes and a few home made soft drinks. Once we get our alcohol license, we'll do a few beers as well. Some of the burgers that could make it to the final menu are:
- Homeburger with cheese - Beef patty, fried onion relish, pickles, tomato, lettuce, home sauce, toasted bun, cheddar and american cheese.
- Fried chicken shack - Buttermilk fried chicken, homeslaw, avocado, tomato, chipotle mayo, toasted bun
- BBQ Beach Hut - Slow cooked BBQ beef brisket, homeslaw, pickled red onion, BBQ sauce, toasted bun
- Greenhouse - BBQ mushrooms, cheddar cheese, American Cheese, fried onions, tomato, lettuce, BBQ sauce, toasted bun
- Plus sides including waffle cheese fries (Waffles topped with homefries and covered in melted cheese), home fries and Mac, schack and cheese (Twice baked macaroni cheese)
- And desserts are pies which include Mint choc chip pie (Mint Choc chip mousse, Oreo crust) and Burnt Marshmallow and chocolate pie (Chocolate mousse, burnt marshmallow top, oreo crust)
When do you open?
We're not in a rush, we want to perfect the food and service first. We'll probably start with a soft launch in 2 weeks or so.

We tried out Homeburger during their trial and would definitely recommend - the buttermilk chicken burger and the onion shards being a particular high point. See the gallery below:
