Wright Bros Kensington on Old Brompton Road will be company's fifth opening

Good news for West London seafood lovers as Wright Bros announce the location of their next restaurant, which will open in South Kensington. They'll be opening on the former site of La Bouchée, on Old Brompton Road.

It's a return to his old stomping ground for head chef Philip Coulter, who has moved over from Wright Brothers Oyster & Porter House but was before that at Racine.

What we're looking forward to trying is the company's first independent bar which will be serving up wines and cocktails alongside ‘pound a pop’ oysters, from Wright Bros' own Duchy Oyster Farm, during happy hour. And the private dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows and a fireplace also sounds very snug.

Otherwise, expect the same focus on fresh fish, both cooked and raw. “We have always wanted to open in South Kensington," says Wright co-owner Robin Hancock of the decision to make that the area for their fifth opening. "It feels like that little corner of Paris where, we first began to dream about re-popularising the oyster in London.”

Wright Bros South Kensington will open September 1 2015 at 56 Old Brompton Road, London SW7 3DY
