We were big fans of Arabica when it opened in Borough Market last year, so it can only be good news that they're going to start opening for breakfast.
From 17th January the kitchen will serve up breakfast on Fridays and Saturdays. We got a sneak preview of the menu and it looks well worth getting up for.
Dishes include:
- Sourdough with house jam (fig & sesame / orange & cardamom marmalade) £4
- Oat porridge with banana, tahini, almonds & honey £6
- Lebanese cold break-feast £11
- Za’tar man’ousheh with scrambled eggs £8
- Eggs with Basturma £9
- Shashuka £10
- And an Arabic fry up £10
There'll be a range of juices including pomegranate, as well as traditionally brewed Turkish coffee with green cardamom and served with the grounds and a rather romantic sounding tisane des amoureux made with hibiscus flowers, apple, orange, cassia and rose petals.
