In this new book Tihany: Iconic hotel and restaurant interiors he offers readers an in-depth tour of his most spectacular projects including Daniel and Per Se in New York, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal in London  and Amber at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong.

With an introduction by Thomas Keller the book was published this Spring by Rizzoli New York. Buy it now on Amazon.

We asked the designer to tell us where he prefers to eat out when he's in London.

The River Cafe
Thames Wharf, Rainville Road, London W6 9HA

"Besides the fact that the food is always fantastic- its a classic establishment that always makes you feel like Tuscany on the Thames."

More people give us their Hot Dinners picks:

Broadcaster and writer Mariella Frostrup: "I think he's one of the great, slightly under-celebrated British cooks"

Jamie Oliver: "We had the most fantastic meal there..."

Top food writer Claudie Roden: "I just love the way they cook and because they also do some of the meats and some of the cuts that aren't popular and that I love."

Observer food critic Jay Rayner: "I sneak off to this small, unassuming place."
