They have restaurants as far afield as Baku and Moscow - now Turkish restaurant chain Kitchenette are opening their first UK place in Putney.
Kitchenette will open this month on Putney Bridge Road. It'll be an 80 seat café, bar and brasserie open all day serving up a range of Mediterranean-inspired dishes. So expect dishes like braised lamb shank with smoked aubergine begendi and cardamom jus and sour cherry baba with vanilla crème fraiche; and berries with cardamom chocolate mousse.
Breakfast sounds particularly good with menemen (baked onion, tomato, thyme, peppers and egg served with yoghurt and Turkish bread) and gozleme (a Turkish pastry filled with spinach and white cheese or spiced, minced lamb) on the morning menu along with a seasonal fruit platter with pistachios, honey and yoghurt.
The design will be by London-based architecture firm Michaelis Boyd who've worked on Pizza East and the Electric Cinema as well as all the Byron openings.
Kitchenette Putney will open on 30 September at 200-204 Putney Bridge Road, London SW15 2NA. Tel: 020 3011 1123. Follow them on Twitter @KitchenetteUK
