Sambrook’s and Ginger Pig team up to celebrate British Pie Week with Pie Stock

Sambrook’s and Ginger Pig team up to celebrate British Pie Week with Pie StockThe ultimate in ‘convenience food’, the pie was first created as a means of providing nutrition on long journeys without the need of having an accompanying butcher and cook by your side, taking up valuable room. Yes it’s fair to say we love a good pie. That fondness of pies is often only rivalled by our love of, and utter devotion to, beer. When the two are paired together we’re in our absolute element.

So what better way to mark the start of British Pie week than for local South West London brewery, Sambrook’s, to team up with the award-winning Ginger Pig butchers to host an evening of beer and pie celebration?

Entitled ‘Pie Stock’, the event will be a journey through Sambrook’s range, with beer sommelier, Jo Miller, matching the beers with a selection of five Ginger Pig pies. To demonstrate beer’s ‘versatility’, they’ll not just be drinking it, but also using it as an ingredient within the pies themselves.

Pie Stock is being held at Sambrook’s newly opened on-site Boadicea Bar at their Battersea brewery on Wednesday 6th March from 7pm – 10pm, and is part of a series of monthly tastings being hosted by the brewery.

Tickets are £20 for Sambrook’s members and £25 for non-members and are available online at www.sambrooksbrewery.co.uk.
